Mark Wallis' JIMMY NAILED ON let us down last week for a seven-timer as the only selection to get beat from those we put up, but punters can get their money back this week in the lucky last on Sunday night.

Finding only Bunny Bookmakers Gold Cup winner Old Fort Cracker too good, he can go one better this week from a beautiful draw in the Henlow Midi at 9.15pm.

As the only seeded runner, any sort of start from this son of Crash will see him turn handy and power clear from halfway. The five railers inside him will all be looking for the same ground around the opening two bends, and it could get messy on the inside - only further playing into the hands of the fastest dog in the race out wide.

The two bend stars take centre stage over the coming weeks, with the £2,500 Henlow Super Sprint kicking-off with six first round heats this week. The opening heat at 7.30pm will surely fall the way of Alma Keppie's superstar TRADE VICTORIOUS - who is one of the hottest properties right now on the sprint scene and can rack up his sixth straight win.

Carl Perry travels down from his Lincolnshire base and can strike in the second heat with his GEELO HAWK. Previously known as Honest Hawk, Perry's charge has some rock solid form in the book already but his 16.74sec introductory trial last week stands him head and shoulders above the opposition and he cannot be opposed.

In any competition, any greyhound hailing from the Liz McNair kennel should be feared, and super bitch SKATE ON gets the nod in the third heat.

She takes on last week's Mini Derby winner Aero Babooshka and, although she is approaching her fifth birthday, showed in her trial on Sunday (16.59sec) that she is still a bitch of enormous ability.

Hayley Keightley's TARGET HARRIS is arguably the fastest sprinter in the country but can be let down by his trapping. He should have far too much firepower for opposition in the fourth heat, before GEELO VAN GEORGE can secure the double for Carl Perry well drawn on the fence in the penultimate qualifier.

LODGE BOY did us a favour last week despite a slightly tardy exit from the boxes, he can follow up in the final heat at 8.45pm.

Katie O'Flaherty's Headford Joe is a danger on the outside, but a better exit is expected this week from the Romford raider inside him. He does however rate a lively outsider for the competition should he qualify as he is expected to come on for the run under the watchful eye of talented young trainer O'Flaherty.

In the 550m Maiden at 9.00pm, Mark Wallis' EVANTA EL GRECO is an interesting four bend type stepping up in trip. Having shared the track with some talented types over sharper distances, he has the class to take full advantage of a good draw on the inside and he is taken to make all in a race lacking in early speed.

Selections:

7.30 Trade Victorious

7.45 Geelo Hawk

8.00 Skate On

8.15 Target Harris

8.30 Geelo Van George

8.45 Lodge Boy

9.00 Evanta El Greco (nb)

9.15 Jimmy Nailed On (nap)
